Project Description
This was a french door with transom replacement project in the traditional/historical neighborhood of Homeland in Baltimore, MD. This door was an All-Wood Product with SDL (Simulated divided light) grilles/panes with a prefinished/painted white interior. ACM was removing a very deteriorated door and frame that was in place, in addition to rebuilding the base around door and replacing the rotten subfloor. In addition, we built the door up, extended the threshold out, ran the sill panning out to where it needed for better water protection/diversion, and then retrimmed & caulked the entire interior and exterior of the door opening. The new outswing french door functions much better, is double active, has a secure multi-point locking mechanism, is very energy efficent, easy to operate, and retains the required authentic/historic look within the Community.
